CT, FF9 - Planting Seeds

Ah, Barnath and Bairith, my bebbies. I used to have their story up on fanfiction.net, but I took it down some time ago, revised the hell out of it, and now reposted it on the web--with illustrations! Twenty-six of them, to be exact. If nothing else came out of this, I at least gained like six levels in coloring with the mouse.

A handful of people might remember those rapier brothers from the prologue to Chimera Quest, which is at the end of my Phoenix Chronicles. This, on the other hand, is the very beginning--before Ragnarok, before wackiness on the Great Fox, and (relatively speaking) three years before Dr. LEA's Diary. If you connect a couple of dots you can figure out where Lucca's black voices came from, as well as the dark scars. Seems those two ghosties have been stalking our heroes for quite some time.

I had lots of fun drawing and writing this, so give it a look, if ye please, even if you don't care about my Phoenix stories. I'm a bit proud of how a few of those illustrations came out, especially the Esto Gaza pieces.

I also maintain that Zidane is a messy sleeper. :3
